Meet the Team

Medical Director | Owner | Norman Native
Dr. Lawrence Carter is the Medical Director and Owner at Peak Wellness and Aesthetics. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and also works as an Inpatient Hospital Specialist at Norman Regional Hospital. He has been recognized for his dedication to patient care and medical excellence. In 2019, he was named Outstanding Physician of the Year by his peers in the Norman Regional Health System. As Chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, he helps shape healthcare practices and patient outcomes through good stewardship of pharmacy resources. Dr. Carter also serves as the Vice Chair of the Norman Regional Hospitalist Medicine Department along with many other committee roles throughout the hospital system such as the Stroke Committee, the ED Resident Competency Committee, the Utilization Review Committee, and the Medical Executive Council.
Dr. Carter was raised from the age of 3 in Norman, OK and attended the Norman Public School System. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma Norman Campus with a degree in Zoology and attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in OKC to complete his medical degree. After medical school, he trained at OUHSC in the Internal Medicine Department where he graduated in 2015. In residency he was involved in the Music as Medicine Interest group and is a life long member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Outside of work, he enjoys exploring travel, home improvement projects, and spending time with his wife Meghan and his three children Amelia, Preston, and Warren. He is also highly involved and passionate about the Norman Regional Health Foundation.
When asked why Peak and why now, Dr. Carter explains that his interest in the field started well before medical school but he has just now had the opportunity to open the clinic in his hometown of Norman. He has always enjoyed improving peoples lives and helping them live better. Many times modern medicine is able to heal patients and enable them to be “alive” but leaves out the more important part about being able to enjoy living! He wants to be that helping hand in people’s lives that enables them reach their own personal peak and live life to the fullest. Aesthetics Nurse Injector
Erin Hughes is a nurse injector at Peak Wellness & Aesthetics with over three years of experience in aesthetic medicine. She is passionate about helping clients feel confident and comfortable in their own skin through thoughtful, natural-looking treatments. Erin’s approach focuses on enhancing each client’s unique features while creating results that feel balanced and refreshed.
Before transitioning into aesthetics, Erin spent two years working in hospice care. That experience shaped the compassionate, patient-centered care she brings to every appointment today. She believes in listening closely to her clients’ goals, educating them on their options, and creating treatment plans that feel both comfortable and personalized.
Outside of the clinic, Erin is married and a proud mom of three—Hayley, Aaliya, and Michael. Most of her free time is spent cheering them on at their activities and making memories together as a family. Erin loves being part of the Peak team and is excited to continue growing in the aesthetics field while helping clients look and feel their best.

Licensed Esthetician | Permanent Cosmetics Artist
Kallie Brunson is a licensed esthetician and certified permanent cosmetics artist from Tuttle, Oklahoma. Specializing in skincare, permanent makeup, and lash treatments like lash lifts, tints, and extensions, Kallie is passionate about enhancing her clients' natural beauty. Her journey into the beauty industry began in high school when she struggled with acne, leading her to explore skincare and fueling her love for helping others achieve radiant, healthy skin.
Always eager to learn the latest techniques, Kallie tailors each treatment to her clients’ individual needs. Whether it’s creating a customized skincare regimen or sculpting the perfect brows, she is dedicated to making every client feel confident and glowing.
Outside of work, Kallie enjoys cheering on her Stillwater Cowboys and spending quality time with her friends and family. She’s excited to be part of your beauty journey and help you feel your best.
